Southern California Edison (SCE) has incorporated IND Technology’s Early Fault Detection (EFD™) system into their wildfire mitigation strategy to enhance the safety and reliability of their electrical infrastructure. The EFD™ system continuously monitors for early signs of electrical faults, such as damaged conductors or compromised components, which could potentially ignite wildfires. By identifying these issues in real-time, SCE is able to proactively address and mitigate risks, significantly reducing the likelihood of wildfire incidents and improving overall network resilience in high-risk areas.
