In its 2024 Wildfire Mitigation Report, Portland General Electric (PGE) highlights the integration of IND Technology’s Early Fault Detection (EFD™) system as a key component of its wildfire prevention strategy. The EFD™ system continuously monitors electrical infrastructure for early signs of faults, such as damaged conductors or compromised components, that could lead to wildfires. By detecting these issues in real-time, PGE can proactively mitigate risks, significantly reducing the likelihood of wildfire incidents and enhancing the safety and resilience of its network in high-risk areas.
