According to PG&E’s report, IND Technology’s Early Fault Detection (EFD) technology was ranked as the third most effective dollar-for-dollar risk reduction investment under their Wildfire Mitigation programs. This ranking was based on the performance of the EPIC 2.34 trial units, which demonstrated the EFD system’s ability to significantly enhance the detection and prevention of faults that could lead to wildfires.
The trial results underscore the value of EFD technology in mitigating wildfire risks and protecting vulnerable areas in PG&E’s service territory.
