In its 2024 Wildfire Mitigation Report, Portland General Electric (PGE) highlights the integration of IND Technology’s Early Fault Detection (EFD) system as a key component of its wildfire prevention strategy. The EFD system continuously monitors electrical infrastructure for early signs of faults, such as damaged conductors or compromised components, that could lead to wildfires. By detecting these issues in real-time, PGE can proactively mitigate risks, significantly reducing the likelihood of wildfire incidents and enhancing the safety and resilience of its network in high-risk areas.
